Elected to the Illinois Association of Park Districts Board of Trustees, Carolyn brings statewide expertise and bipartisan relationships to help Illinois park and recreation agencies be successful. She will bring that same experience to help magnify the resources, value and staff talents of the DuPage Forest Preserve District to benefit all DuPage residents and taxpayers.

Elmhurst Garden Club President and four time Elmhurst Garden Walk & Faire Chairman,: revitalized identity and marketing, expanded community partnerships; showcased private and public horticulture, conservation, design and best practices. Worked to fund and establish the Elmhurst Garden Club Herb Garden in the Elmhurst's Wilder Park; community speaker on sustainable horticulture and landscape topics.
Founding Member Elmhurst Great TV TurnOff aimed at connecting families to one another and the community by minimizing screen time.
York High School PTSA President worked to bridge communications and collaboration between administration and parents; at the administration's invitation, our PTSA research team provided an influential stakeholder opinion research inservice briefing to teachers and administration on a pilot grading practice; expanded volunteerism for students; student advisor for "Pay Less for the Dress" which provided formalwear and accessories at no cost to community students.
Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra Board Officer; financial development and major gifts; founder of Youth Concierge Program which provided progressive leadership opportunities for high school and college volunteers.
